This project will focus on reducing hazardous fuels in areas identified as having a high fire risk in the Lake Tahoe Basin Community Wildfire Protection Plan within the jurisdiction of North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District. The communities of Incline Village and Crystal Bay Nevada are located within the jurisdiction of North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District. Treatment methods that will be utilized to achieve the wildfire mitigation objectives of this project include hand thinning and piling, understory burning, and mechanical mastication.
