Employment is required for residents in the Tahoe Basin to earn an income and provide necessary goods and services for their families. Employment numbers can be compared to population, age distribution, and per capita income to indicate how job increases and losses are affecting the region’s residents, the economic health of a community and the overall quality of life of community residents.

 

This indicator measures the annual average employment numbers for several California communities in the Tahoe Basin.

The total number of persons on establishment payrolls employed full- or part-time who received pay Annual Average California Employment Numbers for any part of the pay period that includes the 12th day of the month.
